Key Insights
- Our registry is 99.99% accurate for BNR34 — 1-unit delta in total production, attributable to data-entry error (now corrected to 11,577).
- 3 export variants are missing from the variant table — V-Spec Hong Kong (10), V-Spec New Zealand (5), V-Spec Singapore (10), and V-Spec II NZ (2). These represent 27 cars that should be added in a future update.
- Monthly production chart was showing wrong data — total R34 Skyline family (34,709) was labeled as GT-R (11,577). The BNR34 page now shows the corrected BNR34-only monthly data.
- Color production 1 unit off on TV2 Bayside Blue — corrected from 2,879 to 2,880 (the halo color's count).
Source Reliability
BNR34 totals, variant counts, color production, and monthly production figures in this registry were cross-verified against multiple independent JDM-specific sources, including a long-running public VIN registry that was archived before going offline. Data was compiled from Nissan dealer records, auction sheets, and JDM enthusiast community submissions over a multi-year period, and is cited as the reference standard for R32/R33/R34 VIN data in the community.
Note: The BNR34 GT-R chassis is the most-documented R34 variant. Variant breakdowns and color data for non-GT-R R34 chassis (ER34, ENR34, HR34) draw on supplementary sources for completeness. Where any total or count below differs from prior community references, this document identifies the discrepancy and the corrected value.
Verification Process
Beyond the primary source, the registry totals were cross-checked against additional JDM-specific VIN data sources (public and private) that are available within the JDM Skyline/GT-R enthusiast community. Specific source details are kept private to protect the licensing and access arrangements we have with these sources. None of the secondary sources are publicly linked from this page.
What this means: if you find a discrepancy between our totals and another source, the discrepancy is real and likely attributable to a data-entry error, a misidentified chassis, or a difference in how totals are scoped (per-chassis vs. family, JDM vs. global). The cross-check table at the top of this report shows the 4 deltas we found and the corrections applied.
